On Saturday 6th June we will be holding a group performance of ‘The Invocation of Horus According to the Divine Vision of W., the Seer’.

This is the ritual preformed by Aleister Crowley for his wife Rose on their honeymoon in Cairo in 1904 which lead to the reception of The Book of the Law.

This event will begin with a bead-stringing class where we will create our own Thelemic pearl bead rosaries which are a vital part of the ritual. We will then explore some of the history of this ritual before performing it as a group.

This class and ritual is suitable for both experienced magicians and those new to group ritual as there will be clear instruction at every stage and we will be working together as a group to perform this invocation.

There will be a small charge of £5 per person which will include the price of all the materials to create your own personal rosary in white or black pearls to take away with you. If you would like to dress in white robes or Egyptian style garments for this event you will be in very good company.

It is important that you contact us if you wish to attend this event in order that we are able to provide enough materials for all attendees.

If you are interested in learning more about this ritual and its function as the central private and public ceremony of  O.T.O. then this is a very informative and enjoyable way of doing so.

The class will begin at 2.30pm with building up the temple and culminate in a full performance of the Gnostic Mass.

Please arrive in plenty of time for a prompt start as there is a lot to cover in this class.

If you are able to bring with you a copy of the Gnostic Mass text this would be extremely helpful. It can be found online with extremely informative annotations by Soror Helena and Tau Apiryon at http://www.hermetic.com/sabazius/gnostic_mass.htm

We will be meeting in a central Cardiff location within a few minutes walking distance of both Cardiff Central and Queen Street stations.

If you would like to attend then please email us in advance for full details.

Saturday 7th 2009 6pm

To celebrate of one of the ‘Feasts of the Times’ as set out in the Book of the Law, we will be performing a liturgy for a celebration with Sol in the Succedent Decan of Aquarius created by Scarlet Woman Lodge.

This will involve a small, elegant candle lighting ceremony reminiscent of both the pagan Imbolc and the Christian Candlemas but with added starry-ness! The sun is passing through Aquarius, corresponding to the element of Air. The pertinent god-form is that of Nuit-Isis.

There will be a celebratory feast after the ritual, with a starry and water theme. Please bring a contribution of food or drink to share with others for this.
