The first edition of Tamion’s new monthly e-newsletter will be sent out latter today!

The purpose of this news letter is to keep all our members informed about events that we have had and forthcoming events for you to attend. We will also be using this mailing list to keep members informed of any news they may need to know about things that are happening in your local body. And there is some exciting news in it!

The members of Tamion Camp met together on 5th June 2011 to discuss all of the things that have happened in the last six months and make plans for the next six months to come. Thank you to everyone who attended and gave such valuable input into the running of your local body of O.T.O. The full minutes from the meeting will be available to be mailed out to Tamion members and any other O.T.O. members who request them very shortly.

The following are just a few of the items that were discussed and are now being implemented:

• Events

We have planned a full calendar of events to be rolled out of the next six months and we hope that many of you will be able to attend the events that we will be holding in south Wales and Glastonbury in the near future.

• Local Dues

Our membership is ever expanding at Tamion and we would like to continue to provide as many exciting and engaging events as we can. In order to be able to do this, we need finances. We will henceforth be asking our members for a regular donation of a minimum of £5 per calendar month. We hope that this amount is not too much to be asking from our regular members. If you have any difficulties in being able to support our work financially at the current time, then please do contact us, we do not wish to exclude anyone but we do need to be able to cover our costs and to be able to continue to book venues for events. Details of how to pay will be sent out in our news letter very soon, which brings me on to the next item…

• Monthly News Letter

Tamion will be mailing out a regular monthly news letter by email which will list all of our forthcoming events as well as reviews of our previous events that month and any exciting news. We would also like to keep you all informed of what your monthly dues are being spent on or what we might be saving up to purchase for the Camp and we can do this via the mailing list. Please email tamion@abrahadabra.net with your preferred email address to be added to the list if you would like to receive this.

On Sunday 5th June the members of Tamion Encampment are invited to attend our bi-annual business meeting where we will be setting out the plans for the camp in the next 6 months.

This will be an opportunity to assist with the running of the camp and have your say in the events that we will be planning in the future. If you would like to get involved in furthering the work of the Camp or would like to have your say about that issues that directly affect the membership of Tamion then this is your opportunity. All O.T.O. members are welcome to attend if they wish to observe the proceedings.

A time and location for this event will be set into the calendar very soon and we will be hosting a variety of other O.T.O. events throughout the weekend.

An agenda for this meeting will be available to members in advance by emailing tamion@abrahadabra.net as are the minutes from our previous meeting. If you have an item you wish to be discussed, then please email us to let us know in advance.

Thank you to everyone who made the recent Minerval initiations quite so spcetacular.

Congratulations to the five new Minervals, we hope to see you all at Tamion lots more in the future.

There will be more Minerval initiations and initiations into the I, II and III degree of O.T.O. at Tamion on 18th July.

Initiation to Minerval is open to anyone free and off full age on completion of an application form signed by two current O.T.O. members of the I* or higher. Initiation to I* in July will be open to anyone who has already taken the Minerval initiation including those from the 9th May event on completion of the same critria mentioned above.

We will be holding lots of initiations in the next few months at Tamion Camp. Times for these events will be confirmed with those that have contacted the Camp wishing to attend in advance. Times listed here may be subject to change.

• Minerval Initiations -  Saturday 9th May, 7pm
  This is the first initiation into O.T.O. and is open to all people who are free and of full age, with two sponsors who are already members of the Order.
  Application for initiation on this date is now closed. Please see our initiation pages for more information.
  This will be a late night event for those with transport. For anyone arriving by public transport, please contact us in advance and we will make arrangements for you.

• Minerval Ritual Class -Friday 22nd May, 7pm
  This class is intended for those who have recently received initiation into the degree of Minerval and is also very useful for all initiates to take a closer look at the text of the ritual.
  It is highly recommended that those who have recently taken this initiation attend this class to enable them to discuss it further with the initiator.
  It is open to those initiated to Minerval and above only, ritual scripts will be provided.

• Man of Earth Initiations – Saturday 18th July, 10am onwards
  The Man of Earth triad encompasses the first 4 degrees of O.T.O. and we will be holding initiations from I* to III*. Application for initiation is open to all those initiated to Minerval and above. Forms must be completed and returned to the Body Master no later than 10th June for initiation on this date.

To attend any of these events please email the Camp in advance.

The Gnostic Mass Class taught by Tau Orpheus on Saturday 25th April was a very great success. It was wonderful to see so many people in attendance and so many new faces. We very much hope that the day was as enjoyable as it was informative and that we see many of the same faces, and even more new ones, again in the future.

Today is the last day of the three day feast for the writing of The Book of The Law.

The final chapter is dedicated to Ra-Hoor-Khuit.

We really hope that you have enjoyed the three days of feasting and that we may see you at Tamion Camp in the near future.

Happy second day of the three day feast of the writing of The Book of The Law!

The second chapter is dedicated to Hadit and many Thelemites refer to today as ‘Hadit Day’. Have a wonderful feast day however you celebrate it.

I am the flame that burns in every heart of man, and in the core of every star. I am Life, and the giver of Life, yet therefore is theknowledge of me the knowledge of death. – - [II:6]

Liber AL vel Legis, The Book of the Law, contains three chapters, each of which was written down in one hour, beginning at noon, on April 8, April 9, and April 10 in 1904.

Chapter II verse 38 says: A feast for the three days of the writing of the Book of the Law.

Today is the first day of that three day feast.

The first chapter is dedicated to Nuit and many Thelemites refer to today as ‘Nuit Day’. Here at Tamion Camp we would like to wish you all a very splendourous celebration of this feast day!

But to love me is better than all things: if under the night stars in the desert thou presently burnest mine incense before me, invoking me with a pure heart, and the Serpent flame therein, thou shalt come a little to lie in my bosom. For one kiss wilt thou then be willing to give all; but whoso gives one particle of dust shall lose all in that hour. Ye shall gather goods and store of women and spices; ye shall wear rich jewels; ye shall exceed the nations of the earth in spendour & pride; but always in the love of me, and so shall ye come to my joy. I charge you earnestly to come before me in a single robe, and covered with a rich headdress. I love you! I yearn to you! Pale or purple, veiled or voluptuous, I who am all pleasure and purple, and drunkenness of the innermost sense, desire you. Put on the wings, and arouse the coiled splendour within you: come unto me!  – - [I:61]
