On Saturday 25th February, Tamion will be returning to Glastonbury to celebrate the Gnostic Mass.

Liber XV, The Gnostic Mass, is the central rite of Ordo Templi Orientis and is a participatory ritual where the congregation partake of communion. As a celebration of the principles of Thelema, it is quite a formal ritual and can be a very beautiful one. This event will be open to anyone who may wish to attend but is restricted strictly to those over the age of 18. You are not required to know anything about Thelema, the O.T.O., or anything else in advance to attend this ritual, all guidance will be given on the day.

If you have never attended a celebration of Liber XV before and would like to know more about what is involved, please read the brief Guide to attending the Gnostic Mass.

Though by no means required, if you would like to familiarise yourself with the ritual in advance, a full copy of the text of the ritual can be found here.

There is a suggested donation of £3 per person to assist us with our running costs but no one will be turned away if they do not wish to pay this. We always aim to be as inclusive as possible, if you have any disability or special needs please do contact us and we will do the best that we can to accommodate you.

You do not need to bring anything to this event other than an open heart. We look forward to welcoming you to celebrate with us.

Mass will begin at 4pm. Please arrive promptly as late comers will not be admitted to the temple.

If you are a confirmed member of the church please bring your white robe.

INITIATES ONLY

On Saturday 12th November, Tamion will be holding classes on the Man of Earth initiation rituals. Time for this will be confirmed nearer the event but expect it to be a full day. We will begin by discussing the Minerval ritual and end in the evening with the III*. Ritual scripts will be provided.

These classes are an opportunity to discuss with your initiation with your initiator and to take a closer look at the text of the ritual. They are intended for those who have recently received initiation but are also very useful for all initiates to examine the text of the ritual and to train for officering at initiations.

Attendees will be tyled to gain entrance to each class which means that you should ensure that you know the steps and signs of your degrees before attending.

Please contact tamion@oto-uk.org if you have any questions or require further details about this event or any of our other work.

Initiations will be held the following week, applications for initiation on this date must reach us on or before Monday 17th  October. Payment for initiation must be paid in advance and should be sent to us with your application.

Please see the Forthcoming Events page for details on other events in 2011.

Tamion is working hard to organise a dedicated storage space for all of our ritual equipment. In order to do this we are requesting assistance in having a large clear out of a cellar space that we will be using to keep all of our items together in future.

On the weekend of the 8th and 9th October we would like to invite you to a weekend of cleaning, ritual, feasting and general occult fun. Please wear old clothes and sensible shoes and you may with so bring some rubber gloves and other bits of cleaning equipment.

On the Saturday, along with a lot of cleaning, there will be a consecration of a small statue of Isis. This ceremony will be based on the neophyte formula of the Golden Dawn and is designed to prepare the material basis for the influx of deity. On the following day, this statue will  be used as the focus for the ‘Invocation of the Holy Spirit’ ritual from the recently published ‘Grimoire of Aleister Crowley’ written by Rodney Orpheus. The weekend will culminate with a feast which will be provided by the Camp, donations to cover the cost of this will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like any further information about this event, please contact us at tamion@oto-uk.org

On Saturday 13th August, the Feast of the First Night of the Prophet and his Bride, Tamion invites you to another of our legendary all-night Minerval initiation events at our beautiful outdoor location in rural Wales (accessible by public transport and by car from Cardiff and surrounding areas).

This is the first initiation into O.T.O. and application for initiation this year is now closed. This is always a spectacular event and it does involve camping overnight. Full details of initiation fees for candidates and what things you will need to bring have now been sent out to all candidates. If you are initiated to Minerval or above then you are very welcome to join us for this spectacular event. All O.T.O. members are welcome to attend these initiations and welcome our new guests into the Order. We are asking that those not taking initiation on this day might consider offering the camp a donation of £3 to cover the cost of extra guests for the wonderful feast that you will be provided with both in the evening and for breakfast the next morning. Please remember to bring warm clothes with you as it gets pretty cold in the Welsh forest at night and any appropriate camping gear if you are planning to stay overnight. If you would like further details on attending this event then please email us.

The next level of initiation into O.T.O. will be held at Tamion in November for anyone that wishes to go on to take their I*, II*, or III* initiations. More details about eligibility for this will be sent out in our news letter nearer the time.
